iPhone goes EMR for patients. NOT

This is a short YouTube video that demonstrates how “Life Record Electronic Medical Record (EMR)” works on Apple’s iPhone. The possibilities seem endless for physicians, but how about patients? Are these applications being developed with physicians in mind or do they target the general population as well? At a price of 10.000 per license, the answer is rather obvious. The migration of some of the open access or free access EMRs will certainly entice patients to have, and own, their own health records. Sure, there are issues that will need to be ironed out (see previous post) but the future seems very exciting.
